This past year, it helped provide oral health services to more than 12,600 children.

Vision Intervention Program

From birth to age 10, the brain is developing its ability to SEE. There are several problems that can interfere with the development of sight during the early years of childhood. Loma Linda University's vision intervention program includes free vision screenings to detect problems early and foster visual development among young Riverside County children. More than 5,400 children have already received screenings since July 2011. As a result of screening, more than 1,300 were referred to an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
