Southern California Alliance for Learning and Results

First 5 Southern California Alliance for Learning and Results (SCALAR) Evaluation Project. The First 5 and Proposition 10 Commissions in the Southern California Region are partnering to summarize collective evaluation results across the region. The Regional Commissions have formed an evaluation committee known as the First 5 SCALAR (The Southern California Alliance for Learning and Results). The overarching goal of the First 5 SCALAR is to collect, manage, analyze and communicate results from the eight Southern California Regional First 5 Commissions, allowing both the accountability and learning functions of evaluation to be fulfilled. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) focuses on Phase One of a two-phase project. Groups or individuals with relevant experience in research and evaluation are encouraged to apply to serve as Consultant(s) for phase one activities.

Mental Health Initiative

First 5 Riverside has identified the need for the prevention and treatment of children with conduct disorders. To increase early childhood social competence and decrease the development of such disorders in high-risk communities, First 5 Riverside created the Mental Health Initiative to fund a full continuum of primary prevention; screening/early identification and early intervention; and treatment interventions.

A pre-bid conference has already been held for agencies specifically identified for this initiative and the deadline has passed to submit applications.
