First 5 Riverside Hybrid Alternative Payment ProgramFirst 5 Riversidefunds the Riverside County Office of Education to provide early learning scholarships for low-income children in quality rated licensed centers and family child care homes throughout Riverside County.
Jumpstart to QualityFirst 5 Riverside funds the Riverside County Child Care Consortium to provide licensed QRIS facilities with developmentally appropriate materials to support early learning for children and enhance program quality.
Quality Child Care/ Early Education for Children with Special NeedsFirst 5 Riverside funds Bermuda Dunes Learning Center, Perris Elementary School District and V.I.P. TOTS to provide quality early care or preschool for children 0 through age 5 with special health, developmental or social emotional needs. In addition, Blindness Support Services was recently funded to provide early education home visits for Riverside, Moreno Valley and Corona area kids who are blind or visually impaired.
First 5 Riverside funds Martha's Village and Kitchen and Path of Life Ministries to provide high quality early care and education and comprehensive wrap around services for children living in shelters for the homeless, including displacement due to domestic violence; grandparents raising grandchildren; pregnant and parenting teenagers; and families living in crisis. In addition, the Commission funds the Riverside County Office on Aging-Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program to provide services for that specific population.
Comprehensive Early Care Services & Supports to Families
Early Education Home VisitationEl Sol Neighborhood Educational Center is funded to provide home visits to Riverside County families with children 16 months through 5 years of age who are challenged by poverty,isolation, language and literacy barriers to promote social-emotional and language development. Program also supports children in out-of home placements such as foster homes to develop and stregthen custodial parenting skills and nurturing behaviors.
